That is absolutely fascinating to see the people in this painting from another angle. For some reason, I never pictured the pitchfork would be curved. I always pictured it being completely straight because that's how it's depicted in the painting. But it must be that Grant Wood just had the pitchfork completely straight on in his composition.

Man, that's just a great idea to have these people up on that balcony where it limits the viewers gaze to have to view it from below so it retains the illusion that this is the Grant Wood painting American Gothic. The frame around the "painting" is a great idea too.
