The Dying Tecumseh

The Dying Tecumseh by Ferdinand Pettrich

The Dying Tecumseh by Ferdinand Pettrich has returned to the second floor galleries at American Art after his extended stay with the National Portrait Gallery for the exhibition, 1812: A Nation Emerges. Visit his new spot among the three large Thomas Moran paintings depicting western landscapes in Wyoming and Colorado.

I love seeing quality Western art. For several years now I have lived in cities that only exhibit contemporary art. I appreciate both but miss Western art.

There is very little visual art in Austin, Texas period. We recently took a trip to Fredricksburg, Texas and there were some excellent galleries exhibiting Western Art.
