Picture This: Designers in the Luce Center
June 25, 2013
Last Thursday marked the return of our series Luce Design. Local jeweler and principle designer for Poppy Jewelry Heidi Hess kicked off the summer series. Hess told visitors about her creative process and brought some examples of her metalsmithing tools (including some that were once her grandmother's). Hess also showed off some of her designs, including examples from a series that was inspired by human anatomy. Hess was excited to learn at the end of the night that a work by her professor Mary Lee Hu was on view in the museum's Renwick Gallery.
We hope you can join us for the next Luce Design with local letterpress printer Melanie Oullette Karlins on Wednesday, July 24.
